New York State Police announced that their investigation into the beating death of Robert Brooks, an inmate at Marcy Correctional Facility, uncovered 400 separate leads.

A sixth correction officer was arraigned Monday on a second-degree murder charge in connection to the death of inmate Robert Brooks. Nicholas J. Kieffer, 33, of Whitesboro, appeared in Oneida County Court.

Robert Brooks died choking on his own blood after three separate beatings and some of the officers involved were released on bail Thursday.
