Multiple warnings have been issued across Northern Ireland as Storm Éowyn makes its way. The storm is expected to bring possible damage and disruption to parts of Ireland and the UK as it tracks east from the Atlantic.

The Met Office has issued a 15-hour amber weather warning as Storm Éowyn is expected to make its way through Derbyshire and the wider UK. The amber wind warning starts on Friday January 24, 2025, running from 6am till 9pm.

Soon afterwards, notably windy conditions will become widespread into the early hours of Friday as Storm Éowyn (pronounced "Ay-oh-win") moves close to the north west of the British Isles, where the strongest impacts will be felt.

THE Met Office has upgraded the weather warning for Storm Eowyn to amber in Wirral. Experts have forecast that Storm Eowyn is expected to bring very strong winds and widespread disruption on Friday (January 24).
