Zoo Atlanta’s giant pandas to return to China this fall
ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) - Zoo Atlanta’s giant panda agreement with China is coming to an end. Zoo officials say giant pandas Lun Lun, Yang Yang, Ya Lun, and Xi Lun will travel to China in mid-October 2024 when the agreement expires.

ATLANTA — The pandas at Zoo Atlanta officially have a departure date. The zoo announced Friday that the four giant pandas, Lun Lun, Yang Yang, Ya Lun, and Xi Lun will travel to China in the middle of next month. Although the zoo said it is “not able to share specifics on the pandas’ departure timeline.”
