He was in position to be the first to report that wide receivers coach Antwaan Randle El was leaving the Lions to become the new passing game coordinator of the Chicago Bears.

Randle El spent the last four seasons as a wide receivers coach with the Detroit Lions. In Chicago, he will reunite with newly hired head coach Ben Johnson. Johnson and Randle El coached together in Detroit when Johnson served as the team’s offensive coordinator.

Randle El, a product of Thornton Township High School, has spent the last four seasons coaching star receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown.
