Coach Jan Jensen’s Hawkeyes (14-7/4-6) played a solid game, beating the Wildcats 85-80 to move the needle closer toward the goal of a postseason appearance. It was not a perfect game, but the Hawks did what was necessary to get a win.

Northwestern led by as many as 7 in the second quarter before Stuelke had a series of three-point plays to give Iowa a 41-38 lead at the half. Senior Lucy Olsen had a big second half to finish with 16 points and 6 assists. Freshman Aliyah Guyton added 15 points and 3 assists off the bench.
