I haven't been able to stop thinking about Sonic the Hedgehog 3 since I saw it in the cinema last month. The first two movies were good, sure, but the third movie's treasure trove of Sonic Adventure 2 references—and the introduction of Keanu Reeves as Shadow, my favourite character—has cemented it as my favourite of the trilogy.

Sonic the Hedgehog 4 is set to hit theaters on March 2027. According to Variety, Paramount has scheduled the next Sonic movie to hit the big screen on March 19, 2027 give us two years until we see the blue blur back in action. No further details on the next Sonic movie have been released beyond the date.

Directed by Jeff Fowler, who has directed all three films in the series, Sonic the Hedgehog 3 stars Jim Carrey, Ben Schwartz, Krysten Ritter, Natasha Rothwell, Shemar Moore, with James Marsden with Tika Sumpter with Idris Elba and Keanu Reeves, who joins the all-star cast as Shadow the Hedgehog.
