U.S.-China trade talks in London this week are expected to take up a series of disputes that have buffeted relations.

Vice Premier He Lifeng, China's top trade negotiator, will arrive in the UK on Sunday for a six-day visit, one day before China and the US begin a new round of trade talks in London on Monday, the Chinese Foreign Ministry announced on Saturday.

“I am pleased to announce that Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent, Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick, and United States Trade Representative, Ambassador Jamieson Greer, will be meeting in London on Monday, June 9, 2025, with Representatives of China, with reference to the Trade Deal,” he wrote on Truth Social.
