Minnesota heads into Game 5 leading 3-1 and looking to book its Western Conference finals berth over Golden State at Target Center tonight

The Minnesota Timberwolves are up 3-1 entering a Game 5 Western Conference semifinals matchup with the Golden State Warriors.

Superman isn’t busting through that wall and saving the Golden State Warriors. With guard Stephen Curry set to miss Game 5 on Wednesday against the Timberwolves, the Warriors’ backs are against and the wall and it appears that their world is falling after losing three straight games in this second-round series.

Jonathan Kuminga did one thing in particular to push Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr over the edge.

The Golden State Warriors and Minnesota Timberwolves play Game 5 of the Western Conference semifinals in the NBA Playoffs Wednesday at Target Center.

In nearly 1,000 possessions prior to the playoffs, Golden State had a plus-12.8 net rating when Butler was on the floor without Curry. In those same non-Curry minutes, Butler averaged 24.9 points and 7.6 assists per 75 possessions, with a 63.7 true shooting percentage.

The Warriors, who have won four NBA titles since 2015, are on the brink of elimination as they head into a crucial Game 5 on the road against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Trailing in the best-of-seven series, Golden State needs a win to stay alive.

Jimmy Butler III attempted just nine shots and finished with 14 points in the Warriors’ 117-110 loss to the Timberwolves.

With Curry on the court, the Warriors might be contenders in these playoffs. Without him, they're starved and staring at an early exit.

Stephen Curry missed his third game with a strained hamstring. He is not expected to play in Game 5 on Wednesday.
