AURORA, Colo. — A woman was taken to the hospital Tuesday morning after she was struck by a vehicle in Aurora. The Aurora Police Department is investigating the crash that happened at the intersection of South Havana Street and East Jewell Avenue. Police first posted about the crash on the social platform X at about 7:06 a.m.

The woman was crossing Jewell Avenue with the help of a walker when she tripped over a hole in the pavement and fell, police said. The driver made a right turn from Havana Street when they struck the woman.

Aurora police arrested a driver Wednesday who was reportedly involved in a deadly multi-vehicle crash on Sunday that left a 15-year-old girl and a 37-year-old woman dead.
