An Abu Dhabi court sentenced three people to death and one to life in prison on Monday for the November murder of an Israeli rabbi "with terrorist intention", state media said.

The UAE has not made that accusation, but the Abu Dhabi Federal Appeal Court ruled that the murder was done for a “terroristic purpose,” according to Reuters.

On Monday, Nov. 25, United Arab Emirates officials released the names and photographs of three Uzbek nationals arrested for the murder of Chabad Lubavitch emissary Rabbi Zvi Kogan.

Kogan had been part of the Abu Dhabi Chabad chapter since the Abraham Accords normalized Israel-UAE relations in 2020. Kogan’s wife, Rivky, a US citizen, resided with him in the UAE.
