A vehicle crash on westbound Interstate 40 caused the blockage of multiple lanes Thursday evening and left traffic backed up at approximately 5:13 p.m.

A deadly crash has impacted traffic along Interstate 80 through Fairfield Thursday morning. California Highway Patrol says, just before 5 a.m., a pedestrian apparently ran into traffic along the eastbound side of I-80 near Air Base Parkway.

Expect delays of up to two hours, authorities warn.
