Adani Energy Solutions said on Saturday that Kenya's cancellation of a $736 million transmission line project did not require it to make any regulatory disclosure under Indian stock exchange rules as it was within its ordinary course of business.

The Adani group said the project did not fall within the ambit of Sebi's disclosure regulations, thereby not warranting any disclosure of its cancellation.

The cancellation came after Gautam Adani, the founder and CEO of the multibillion-dollar Indian company Adani, along with seven other executives, were indicted by the Department of Justice (DOJ) in New York on November 20 for allegedly bribing Indian government officials.
