Not so long ago, there were the first bird flu cases among cows confirmed in the United States, causing concerns about dairy and milk consumption. Earlier in September, there was the first case of a person from the United States testing positive for the virus,

"And the one we have right now is highly aggressive and especially extremely devastating to the poultry industry. It can kill almost all the birds in a flock very quickly when it gets into it."

Health officials in British Columbia, Canada, have failed, for now, to confirm how a teenager there became infected with H5N1 bird flu.
