The Seattle Mariners took advantage of a down day for the rest of the American League contenders with a 3-1 win against the Athletics on Monday at Sutter Health

Luis Castillo allowed a run in seven innings, Josh Naylor hit his first home run for the Mariners and Seattle beat the Athletics 3-1.

The Seattle Mariners kick-started the MLB Trade Deadline last week with a move for Josh Naylor. The M’s don’t appear to be done either. It’s been reported that the Mariners are still active in trade talks for Arizona Diamondbacks third baseman Eugenio Suarez.
