Shinsuke Nakamura upset LA Knight at WWE Survivor Series: WarGames on Saturday to win the United States Championship In a closely contested battle with both men taking turns in control, it was a brief, yet dominant stretch by Nakamura that secured him the win.

Heading into Survivor Series, one of the final matches added to the card was Shinsuke Nakamura versus LA Knight for the United States Championship. On paper, this felt like a very meh match simply added to pad out a card without the WWE Champion,

Knight originally won the United States Championship back in August at SummerSlam. He defeated Logan Paul to earn his first singles title in his WWE career which many felt was a long time coming. While most of his title defenses were on SmackDown, he did defend at Crown Jewel against Andrade and Carmelo Hayes.
