Mikaela Shiffrin crashed out of the Killington giant slalom on Saturday, putting the US superstar's bid for a 100th alpine World Cup victory on hold as Sweden's Sara Hector triumphed.
The American ski star held on to her first-run lead in the season's second slalom to beat Italian prodigy Lara Colturi, who starts for Albania, by 0.55 seconds and Swiss skier Camille Rast by 0.57.
