By making one simple fashion choice for Game 3 on Saturday, Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry gave apparel company Laces 100 times its normal business.
Stephen Curry has not played for the Golden State Warriors since Game 1 of their second-round series against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The results have followed a predictable outcome since then. The Warriors managed to hold onto win the first game of the series and steal home-court from the Timberwolves.
In nearly 1,000 possessions prior to the playoffs, Golden State had a plus-12.8 net rating when Butler was on the floor without Curry. In those same non-Curry minutes, Butler averaged 24.9 points and 7.6 assists per 75 possessions, with a 63.7 true shooting percentage.
With the Golden State Warriors facing elimination, the debate is whether injured star Steph Curry can return to action for Game 5 in Minnesota.
"The series changed with Steph’s injury,” Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said after Game 4. "Steph’s a guy who breaks the defense down for us and creates that offensive flow. I think the result is that shots are more difficult for every single guy.”
Curry reportedly went through a 'pretty strenuous workout' before Game 3. Can he make it back for Game 5 Wednesday in Minneapolis?
Curry suffered a Grade 1 left hamstring strain during Game 1 of his team's Western Conference semifinals series against the Timberwolves. He did not return after scoring 13 points in 13 minutes.
The Golden State Warriors drafted Steph Curry with the seventh overall pick in the 2009 NBA Draft. Since then, the Warriors have won four championships and Curry has won two MVPs and one Finals MVP while breaking the all-time 3-point field goals record.
