San Diego Padres Jackson Merrill, a Severna Park, Maryland, native earned All-MLB Second-Team honors following a strong rookie season.

Jackson Merrill capped off his rookie season by winning a Silver Slugger Award, putting the Padres outfielder in the company of Ichiro Suzuki and Aaron Judge.

The second-winningest season in Padres history has led to offseason hardware. Third baseman Manny Machado, left fielder Jurickson Profar and center fielder Jackson Merrill were all named National League Silver Slugger Award winners on Tuesday as baseball’s awards season continued.
