Thousands of protests are underway across the Bay Area as part of the nationwide “No Kings" movement in opposition of President Donald Trump.

Reporters and photographers from the USA TODAY NETWORK-California will cover the "No Kings Day" protests throughout the state all day on June 14.

The assailant, who is still at large, was identified as 57-year-old Vance Boelter, according to three people familiar with the investigation.
