Storm Éowyn is due to hit the UK and cause disruption this weekend - here's how you can track the storm and when to expect strong wind and heavy rain.

A weather warning for wind is set to come into place across the whole of Northern Ireland. The yellow alert issued by the Met Office comes into force at midnight on Friday, January 24, and will remain in place until 11.59pm. This is due to Storm Éowyn, the fifth named storm of the season and the first of 2025.

Britain is set to be battered by winds of up to 90mph from Storm Eowyn as the Met Office warned of a danger to life in parts of the country over the next few days. Very strong winds are forecast to strike the north of England,
