MOBILE, Ala. ( WALA) - The AHSAA said the Super 7 state football championship will come to Mobile in 2026 and 2028. The games will be held at Hancock Whitney Stadium, according to officials. AHSAA Executive Director Heath Harmon released the following statement:

The AHSAA Central Board has officially approved a plan for the Super 7 football championships in its annual winter meeting on Wednesday. They approved four-year rotation plan will have the Super 7 championships at Birmingham’s Protective Stadium in 2025 and 2027 and Mobile’s Hancock Whitney Stadium on the campus of South Alabama in 2026 and 2028.

The University of South Alabama stadium becomes just 5th different venue to host the event since its inception as the Super 6 State Championships in 1996.
