Indian authorities are investigating the work environment at Ernst & Young after the death of a 26-year-old employee whose mother said she was overworked.

The matter came into light after mother of deceased employee, Anita Augustine wrote to EY India Chairman, Rajiv Memani about her daughter’s death due to ‘work stress’.

Anna Sebastian Perayil, a 26-year-old Ernst and Young employee, died from "work-related stress," according to her father. Despite parental advice to quit, she continued working long hours without adequate sleep or nutrition.
