While most of East Baton Rouge Parish will have power restored by noon Saturday, Ascension, which took the brunt of Hurricane Fancine in the area, is looking at restoration by 10 p.m. Saturday. Much of Livingston and Ibeville parishes should have power back Friday.

Throughout Ascension Parish, Hurricane Francine inundated the area with rain and left thousands of Entergy and DEMCO customers without power.

This federal aid will head to a total of eight parishes across the state. Some heavily impacted parishes such as Orleans, Jefferson and St. Tammany were left out.
