According to Houston Police, Midwest Patrol officers responded to a shooting in a shopping center parking on South Gessner around 1:15 a.m. On Saturday.

More than a dozen people arrested in Houston last week were accused of being members of Anti-Tren, a splinter group made up of former members of Tren de Aragua.

"I started covering my daughter with my body," the mother told ABC13 of the time she was first shot at by the suspects. "I wasn't expecting this to happen to us, and twice."

According to Houston Police, officers with the South Central Division were called to a shooting around 8:15 p.m. On Friday night near south MacGregor Way and Calhoun Road.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez. The woman was transported by Life Flight to a hospital.

A SWAT scene in The Heights area of Houston turned deadly early Wednesday following a seven-hour standoff. The Houston Police Department is investigating the incident, which involved a woman who reportedly threatened police during the lengthy standoff. She was shot and killed by an officer, ending the standoff.

One suspect was fatally shot by Houston police during a standoff in the Heights neighborhood. No officers were injured. The situation and suspect's motives are under investigation.

A man died after he was found shot Monday night at an apartment complex on Seminar Drive. Houston police have identified a person of interest for questioning.
