The upcoming iPhone 17 models that Apple plans to release this year will not feature a smaller Dynamic Island, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said

Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo continues to offer insights into the iPhone 17, this time saying that Dynamic Island isn't getting a redesign.

It's a surprising contradiction to previous rumors about this year's iPhone release, which have suggested that the Dynamic Island would be getting smaller or narrower. The feature, which houses Face ID sensors and the front camera in addition to showcasing Live Activities, introduced with the iPhone 14 Pro.

Apple’s iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max will be packed with a variety of upgrades, here are seven new features coming later this year.

Available on iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, or macOS Sequoia 15.1 or later versions, the latest updates include ChatGPT integration, the “Image Playground” that creates images from your text descriptions, notification summaries of messages, and “Visual Intelligence” that lets you learn about objects and places by pointing your iPhone’s camera at them.

OS 18.3 is expected to be widely released next week, and that means the first iOS 18.4 beta for iPhones should be just around the corner.
