De'Aaron Fox could get traded before the NBA's Feb. 6 trade deadline, but the Lakers aren't willing to do one thing in order to land him.

De'Aaron Fox is a better basketball player than Austin Reaves. We can get that part out of the way from the start. There is no real statistical argument otherwise. Even the most optimistic projections of Reaves' increasingly bright future have to acknowledge that Fox has physical gifts that he simply does not.

Fox is the new name on the market after sending signals he doesn't want to commit long term to the Kings. Meanwhile, Butler remains suspended as the Heat decide his future.
