A Japanese man who lived through the American atomic bombing of Nagasaki has accepted this year’s Nobel Peace Prize on behalf of an organization of survivors.

Japan's Nihon Hidankyo on Tuesday accepted the Nobel Peace Prize on behalf of Japanese survivors of the two atomic bombs dropped on Japanese cities to end World War II.

Japan's atomic bomb survivors' group Nihon Hidankyo accepted its Nobel Peace Prize on Tuesday, pleading for the abolition of nuclear weapons that are resurging as a threat 80 years after the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings.
