Dangerously hot weather persists in the East County as temperatures climb 4 to 8 degrees above average for this time of year.

While the mountains will continue to face a Heat Advisory through Monday at 8 p.m., the deserts will stay under an Extreme Heat Warning through 8 p.m. Tuesday.

At 1:47 a.m. on Sunday, the NWS Las Vegas NV released an extreme heat warning valid from Monday 10 a.m. until Tuesday 8 p.m.
