The Federal Aviation Administration is using military airspace specially opened for civilian use to ensure smooth travel during the holiday, officials said.

The Transportation Security Administration expects to screen 18.3 million people at U.S. airports during the same seven-day stretch.

The Federal Transportation Security Administration expects this year to be the busiest Thanksgiving travel on record, with 18.3 million passengers traveling between Nov. 26 and Dec. 2. At MKE airport, officials anticipate 200,000 passengers to come through during the same time period.
