Dustin Poirier says going toe-to-toe with Max Holloway in the final seconds of their UFC 318 fight didn't go to plan.
Holloway (27-8 MMA, 23- 8 UFC) retained his BMF title by outlasting the retiring Dustin Poirier (30-10 MMA, 22-9 UFC) in Saturday's main event at Smoothie King Center in New Orleans. Holloway had Poirier in trouble a couple of times and outstruck "The Diamond" over the course of the fight. Cormier was very impressed with Holloway's performance.
