On July 11, 2021 on the occasion of the 64th Imamat Day of Mawlana Hazar Imam, His Highness the Aga Khan, we launched a pictorial photo series featuring the first four years in the seventh decade of his Imamat. The 1st part celebrated the Diamond Jubilee Year.

Lisbon, Portugal, 11 July 2018 – 61 years after he first acceded to the Ismaili Imamat, becoming the 49th hereditary Imam (spiritual leader) of the Shia Ismaili Muslims, His Highness the Aga Khan concluded the year-long commemoration of his Diamond Jubilee in Lisbon.

His Highness the Aga Khan, founder of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) and visionary behind the Aga Khan Academies, commenced his Diamond Jubilee, or 60 years as the 49th hereditary Imam (spiritual leader) of the world’s Shia Ismaili Muslims, on 11 July 2017.
