Jun 16, 2022 · My Wolvie book just had a single dot and some slight rounding on the corners, but it did come in the shrinkwrap (they make a small tear to mark it). I had also picked up "First X-Men" which had a nasty sharpie slash across the top that bothered me, but it ended up being a terrible read anyway. I can confirm that there's no care put into packing.

Jun 25, 2022 · The book was more than 60% off of cover price so I had to capitalize. This was my first experience with book outlet. The book is in great condition no dings or crinkles. Just the small sharpie dot at the top and people told me to expect that. The packaging wasn’t very secure but they had paper in there to kind of secure it.

Dec 27, 2017 · Book depository isn't like Book Outlet or Thrift Books, they don't sell used books of varying conditions, only new. If you're worried about shipping damage, they mail the books in bubble envelopes or cardboard mailers usually.

May 29, 2024 · Just want to throw it out there that Book Outlet has gotten a lot better and is such a great place to find cheap books. My last 2 orders were almost perfect - I can deal with small dings or folds, I thrift a lot of my books & it doesn't bother me. Nothing unreadable. Takes about 2 weeks from order to delivery but it's worth it for the prices.

Aug 29, 2022 · Book Depot sells books to retailers, and when the retailers send books back (ie. overstock or didn't sell, etc) they take those books and sell them to the public through Book Outlet. I'm in the US so I don't know what CA shipping is, but US is flat rate and free for orders over $35 so I would guess it's similar or lower for CA.
