Derrick LaPoint. After working for several years in the development industry, including three as a planner with the City of Fargo, Derrick made the jump across the Red River in 2018 to become the first president of Downtown Moorhead Inc.

In February 2018 Derrick LaPoint was named the first President/CEO of Downtown Moorhead Inc. (DMI), a newly formed non-profit organization with the goal of revitalizing downtown Moorhead. Derrick is a former University of North Dakota and professional hockey player.
