Sep 29, 2013 · Given what we know about Iris Pro today, I'd say NVIDIA is fairly safe. The highest performing implementation of NVIDIA's GeForce GT 650M remains appreciably quicker than Iris Pro 5200 on average. Intel does catch up in some areas, but that's by no means the norm. NVIDIA's recently announced GT 750M should increase the margin a bit as well.

No gpu switching hassle, Intel is better at general processing and even in OpenGL Intel seems to be better of. Gaming on Windows though and Nvidia 750M is a lot better.

Jun 12, 2012 · The reason I put "=/>" between the 320M and HD3000 is because in some benchmarks Intel is actually equal, but for many games, Nvidia still wins. I think the stigma of Intel iGPU's are still around, even though for the past year and a half, starting with the HD3000, their iGPU has been acceptable.

Mar 12, 2015 · The Iris 6100 has 48 execution units where the Iris 5100 had 40 - naively I would expect a 20% performance increase from this. The Iris Pro 5200 has the same 40 EUs as the 5100, but the additional on-die RAM makes it between 50% and 100% faster in benchmarks and in gaming performance. It is not even close.
