All in all to say, Ascended Astarion's traits are definitely present in Spawn Astarion and he has the capacity for incredible cruelty and abuse, but it's not all he is. Oct 11, 2023 · First playhtrough I had the scene after talking to Nettie. Stargazing scene has some variations of what Astarion says - he either refers to finding gith crèche or druid Halsin if you have spoken to Nettie. I think the main trigger is talking to Zorru. Astarion will then mention finding crèche if you long rest between that and talking to Nettie.

Sep 5, 2023 · I absolutely love Astarion's character and the conflict he has in the game. I do hope in some future DLC/patch we can learn more about his past as a magistrate. Especially because in cut content his backstory was, in my opinion, wonderfully complicated. In the cut content, Astarion was a corrupt city magistrate who willingly sold people to Cazador.

Aug 21, 2023 · If Astarion is the main player I'd give him +1 Dex form Hags Hair and +2 Dex from an ASI at Character level 8 (barb 4) then go something like Sentinel or Tough at character level 12 (Barb 8). If as companion I'd go Athlete +1 first then +2 Dex ASI.

The reason for that in my case was actually the dialogue before the fight that triggers after you talk to Sebastian and other captured spawn. It's the dialogue where Astarion goes "those poor victims, shame I'll have to use them for the ritual tho" - at which point you have to stop him right there and convince him it's a bad thing to do.

Astarion doesn't hide the fact that he is an asshole and that he is using you, and you can use him too. In fact there's a dialog where if you tell him "don't worry I'll protect you" he thinks you are condescending and a dumbass.
