An initial internet search led me to investigate the presence of an extra period at the end of the incoming mail settings in outlook 2021. the post I found indicated that they resolved their problem by getting rid of the period at the end of the server identifier string "pop3.comcast.net."

Dec 17, 2024 · @user_1lp53t I called Comcast and spent about a half hour on the phone with them working me through the issues. I don’t know what it was, but it must’ve been something on their end because they kept doing things and telling me to try things and eventually got all three of my email addresses working.
How to change pop3 comcast email account to imap

To do this, I need to change my comcast email account from pop3 to imap. The instructions on comcast support seem to be outdated. Does someone have a more current set of instructions. Thank you.

Aug 12, 2024 · I've had my Comcast.net email address for over 30 years. Over those 30 years I've linked this email address to countless internet accounts. There's no way I can possibly remember all the internet accounts my Comcast.net email address is linked to. It would be impossible for me to transfer everything to a new email account.
