When Lazarex founder Dana Dornsife experienced the barriers to cancer treatment firsthand, she decided to do something about it. When her brother-in-law Mike was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, Dana found a clinical trial to help him access treatment. Finding a trial for Mike took weeks, and when she started helping Mike's fellow pancreatic cancer patients do the same, she realized the systemic problems keeping many cancer patients from receiving care.
